Rebecca Jacques earned her BFA from the University of Delaware (2005) where she focused on printmaking. She still prints, but also enjoys painting and book-binding. A home-educator for the past 8 years, she is learning to see her kids as her magnum opus. Soli deo gloria!
A workshop for middle and high-schoolers. Kids will learn about French-American artist Louise Bourgeois before creating their own sculpture out of aluminum paper. Louise Bourgeois is best known for her giant sculpture of a spider entitled ”Maman” (located in front of the National Gallery of Canada). Un atelier pour les enfants du secondaire. Ils découvriront le travail de l’artiste française Louise Bourgeois avant de créer leur propre sculpture en papier d’aluminium. Louise Bourgeois est bien connue pour sa sculpture géante d’une araignée intitulée ”Maman” devant le Musée des beaux-arts d’Ottawa. Un atelier pour les enfants à partir du primaire. Ils découvriront le travail de l’artiste britannique Bridget Riley avant de créer leur propre oeuvre à sa manière !
