Dear members,   I hope you are enjoying the summer which is well underway. Normally I avoid communicating during the summer. However, I feel that there are several ongoing matters that I would like to update you on:

News from the Board

We are pleased to welcome a new couple as directors: Yasmine Arborite and Stephann Desulmé from the Gatineau region. They are parents of 3 children ranging from 1 to 7 years old. Meanwhile, we have received the resignation of Rachal-Ann and Étienne Côté from Baie Saint-Paul. I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for their contribution over the past two years. We continue to renew our team by the Grace of God.

Project

We are evaluating the possibility of a partnership with the  Association Création et Science (ACS) to translate creationist science books into French. This is an ambitious and long-term project, but also an exciting one which, if it comes to fruition, will be most useful for our families.

DEM and School Boards or Service Centres (CSS)

With the end of the school year, there has been some activity amongst the associations, the DEM and the School Boards and Service Centres. While we have seen shortcomings in the preparation and implementation of the ministerial exams, we will be working with the HSLDA to prepare a document to propose avenues of improvement to the DEM and School Boards and Service Centres. I have had the privilege of discussing this issue with our support group leaders and sharing some of the future directions. In closing, I leave you with the thought found in Psalms 23: 1-3. I invite you to read it in your devotional time, for personal meditation and as a family. But above all, live it out all summer, which I hope will be refreshing, and a source of blessing and energy.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”
Love in Jesus,

Patrice

A dose of encouragement as the learning year draws to a close.

“He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary;

Trusting God’s plan!

How often, in our journey as parent-educators, do we get anxious when we think about our children’s future, become stressed when we think about our various obligations, and let ourselves get carried away by the storm of difficulties and constraints? It’s easy to form a very specific vision of what we want to do for

Graduation Ceremony

The ACPEQ graduation ceremony is an important milestone and an incentive to move on to the next stage with greater strength. The completion of high school deserves to be celebrated in style! A Word from the Vice-President – April 2024

Peace at home in adversity – a manifestation of God’s power. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)  One of the immense challenges in our families is maintaining a climate of peace. Children especially need it for their creativity, confidence in their parents’ unconditional love, and their sense of security and
