Hello everyone!
I wish you a wonderful year 2024. Each year brings its own joys and different challenges. I encourage you to use the beginning of 2024 to readjust your family’s plans and priorities. We’re often too busy doing lots of things, and it’s a good time at the beginning of the year, and at the start of our advanced learning plans, to sort out what’s important for our family by considering what works for us as parents and also for our children. Every family is different, and it’s important not to try to copy others, but to adapt to the academic, emotional and spiritual needs of each.
One way to sort out what we should prioritize is to consider the results we’re looking to achieve personally, for our children and as a family. To do this, I encourage you to meditate on this passage in the gospel of John.
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” John 15:16 (NIV)
We are privileged to have the flexibility to adapt our plans as often as necessary, so let’s do it if we see that it would benefit everyone.
The ACPEQ Committee Board has been busy lately planning activities for the coming months. In January, we’ll be kicking off the 13th by taking the pulse of support group leaders to find out what’s needed and how we can continue the mission of encouraging families.
Happy January!
